Trollius (Globeflower)
Trollius, commonly known as Globeflower, is a hardy perennial grown for its rounded flowers in shades of yellow and orange. It is particularly well suited to borders, cottage gardens and areas where the soil stays reasonably moist.
Our Trollius plants are supplied as bare root plants for spring planting. Once planted, they establish into clumps of fresh green foliage, followed by distinctive globe shaped flowers that bring strong colour to the garden in late spring and early summer.

Trollius grows best in fertile, moisture retentive soil that does not dry out completely. A position in full sun or light partial shade is usually ideal, particularly where the roots can remain cool and evenly moist. It works especially well alongside other moisture loving perennials and is a useful choice for planting near ponds, streams or in naturally damper parts of the garden.
Plant Trollius bare roots in spring with the crown close to soil level, water them in well and keep the soil moist while the plants become established. Once settled, they can return year after year and gradually form larger clumps.
