Description

Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’ is an elegant ball dahlia with beautifully shaped blooms in soft peach, apricot and blush pink tones. Its rounded flowers are formed from tightly arranged petals that curve inward to create the perfectly balanced, geometric shape ball dahlias are loved for. The colouring shifts gently across the blooms, with warm apricot and peach shades blending into softer pink and creamy undertones toward the centre. This subtle variation gives the plant a natural warmth and depth that changes beautifully throughout the flowering season.

Flowering at around 9–10 cm across, the blooms are carried on long, sturdy stems above a strong, upright plant reaching approximately 90–110 cm tall. From midsummer until the first frosts, ‘Sweet Suzanne’ flowers continuously, producing an abundance of blooms ideal for both the garden and the vase. In borders, this variety brings a calm and refined feel, blending effortlessly with creams, mauves, dusty pinks and deeper burgundy tones. Its softer colouring works particularly well in romantic planting schemes, cottage gardens and layered late summer displays.

As a cut flower, ‘Sweet Suzanne’ is exceptionally versatile. The neat flower shape, reliable stems and long vase life make it a favourite for bouquets and floral arrangements, where it adds warmth without overpowering surrounding flowers.

Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’ thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Easy to grow and highly productive, it is an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a dependable dahlia with soft colouring and outstanding flower form.
