Description
Japanese Anemone Bressingham Glow brings soft late season colour and graceful movement to borders, cottage style plantings, and shaded beds. Rosy pink flowers rise on tall slender stems above a tidy mound of deep green foliage, creating an airy look that catches the breeze and adds elegance from late summer into autumn.
It is long lived, low maintenance, and naturally resistant to deer, while also attracting butterflies. The blooms hold well when cut, making this variety a favourite for simple seasonal arrangements. Bressingham Glow is especially valued for its ability to keep the garden lively well into the fall.
This variety was introduced in nineteen sixty eight by British plantsman Alan Bloom, founder of the renowned Bressingham Gardens and Blooms Nurseries in Norfolk. Its name pays tribute to the gardens where it was bred and the warm glow it brings to late summer displays.
Planting information
- Dig a hole to the required depth. You can find this required depth for each type of bulb, tuber or root in the growing guides.
- Depth is measurement of space between the soil line and top of bulb or bare root.
- Set the bulbs or bare root in place, pointed side or sprout side upward.
- Cover the bulbs by replacing the soil and water thoroughly.
