Description
Japanese Anemone ‘Bressingham Glow’ brings late-summer charm to borders, cottage gardens, and shaded beds. This perennial produces rosy-pink blooms on tall, wiry stems from late summer into autumn, rising above a neat mound of deep green foliage. The airy flowers sway gently in the breeze, creating movement and elegance in the garden.
Growing 60–90 cm tall, it is also excellent for cutting, making it a favorite for floral arrangements. This long-lived, low-maintenance perennial attracts butterflies, yet remains deer-resistant, offering beauty with minimal care. Its vibrant blooms make it a standout choice for extending interest well into autumn.
The Japanese Anemone 'Bressingham Glow' was bred by the renowned British horticulturist Alan Bloom in 1968. Alan Bloom was the founder of Bressingham Gardens and Blooms Nurseries in Norfolk, England, and was known for breeding and naming many new varieties of hardy perennial plants. The name 'Bressingham Glow' is a reference to the location of his famous gardens and nursery.
Planting information
