Fritillaria Red Beauty

Fritillaria ‘Red Beauty’ is one of the most striking spring bulbs you can grow. Tall stems rise up to 90 cm, topped with rich scarlet-red, bell-shaped flowers beneath a crown of green foliage. With its dark stems and deep red tones, this variety brings bold colour and strong structure to the spring garden.

Unlike many so-called red fritillarias that lean orange, ‘Red Beauty’ delivers a true deep scarlet shade that stands out beautifully against fresh spring greens. The flowers are loved by pollinators and produce plenty of nectar early in the season.

Planting Advice

Plant bulbs in autumn in fertile, well-drained soil, around 15 cm deep and 30 cm apart. Always plant the bulbs slightly on their side to prevent water collecting in the hollow centre. Leave bulbs undisturbed once planted for the best flowering results year after year.
