Tulip Light and Dreamy

This is no ordinary tulip. ‘Light and Dreamy’ brings a moody elegance to the spring border with its soft, rosy-lilac petals and striking, dusky purple stems. It’s the contrast that makes it special—the gentle pastel tones of the flower set against those dark, almost smoky stalks. There’s something quietly dramatic about it, and it pairs beautifully with other soft-toned tulips or darker varieties like Queen of Night.

This is a Triumph tulip, known for its sturdy build and reliable flowering. Reaching about 40–50 cm tall, it holds up well to spring breezes and looks just as good in a mixed bed as it does in a simple container on the patio.

You can expect it to bloom in mid-spring, around April, bringing soft colour at just the right moment—when the garden’s waking up, but not yet in full swing. Its gentle hues make it a lovely match for silver-foliaged perennials, forget-me-nots, or white daffodils.

Plant in autumn, in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with free-draining soil. While it’s stunning enough to deserve a place in any spring display, it’s especially lovely in a naturalistic planting scheme where its soft, dreamy colours can shine.
