Description
Hydrangea ‘Little Spooky’ is a remarkably compact panicle hydrangea, reaching just around 50–60 cm in height and spread — ideal for small gardens, patios or containers. The sturdy, upright stems carry full, rounded panicles of creamy white blooms (often with a hint of lime green) from summer into early autumn. The dark green foliage remains tidy and forms a neat mound, providing an elegant backdrop to the blooms. Because this variety flowers on new wood, you’ll get fresh growth and flowers each season. With its modest size and reliable structure this hydrangea works beautifully at the front of a border, beside a pathway, or even planted in groups for low hedging impact.
Planting & Care Information:
- Height: approx. 45–60 cm
- Spread: approx. 45–60 cm
- Planting Depth: plant with the crown level with the soil surface
- Plant Spacing: approx. 45–60 cm apart
- Position: Full sun to partial shade
- Soil: Moist, fertile, well-drained soil
- Flowering Period: Mid summer through early autumn
- Hardiness: Suitable for cool climates
- Watering: Maintain even moisture, especially during first season establishment
- Pruning: Prune back in late winter/early spring (remove previous season’s growth to basal buds) in order to encourage flowering on new wood
