Description
Tulip Mara is a striking miniature species tulip (botanical name Tulipa aucheriana ‘Mara’) that brings vibrant colour and charming form to early spring plantings. Its warm cinnamon‑red to deep red‑orange blooms are beautifully contrasted with soft chartreuse or green streaks on the outer petals, creating a lively and naturally artistic display. On bright, sunny days the flowers open into star‑shaped cups that showcase golden stamens and vivid central hues, while in cooler or cloudy conditions the petals tend to stay more pointed and closed, giving your display ever‑changing character throughout the day.
Compact and elegant, Tulip Mara grows to about 10–15 cm tall with multiple blossoms on slender stems, making it ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens or tucked among early perennials. Its slender, bluish‑green foliage weaves gracefully through surrounding plants, lending texture as well as colour.
