Description
Dahlia ‘Orange Fubuki’ is a vibrant fringed dahlia that brings warmth and texture into the late summer garden. The large blooms open in glowing shades of orange, apricot, and soft golden amber, with finely cut petal tips that give every flower a softer, feathered appearance. Unlike more formal decorative dahlias, this fimbriata type has a lighter, more expressive look. The fringed petals catch the light beautifully and create a sense of movement across the plant, especially when flowering in groups. Blooms are typically around 12–15 cm across and are held on strong upright stems above deep green foliage.
Flowering from July until the first frost, ‘Orange Fubuki’ is both eye-catching in borders and highly productive as a cut flower. The warm colouring works especially well with reds, bronze foliage, soft peaches, creamy whites, and deeper autumn shades, making it an easy variety to blend into mixed planting schemes. Plants grow to around 90–120 cm tall and perform best in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Regular cutting and deadheading will encourage a constant display of flowers throughout the season. Staking is recommended once plants begin to gain height.
For gardeners looking for strong colour combined with unusual texture, Dahlia ‘Orange Fubuki’ delivers reliable performance and standout blooms right through to autumn.
