Description
Dahlia ‘Double Jill’ is a softly coloured decorative dahlia that brings warmth and harmony to summer planting schemes. The blooms are fully double and neatly formed, with layered petals that create a rounded, balanced flower head. Colour shifts gently from a warm golden yellow at the centre to creamy white and soft butter tones towards the outer petals. In warmer light, a subtle apricot flush can appear, adding further depth without overpowering the soft overall effect.
Flowers typically reach 10–12 cm across and are carried on strong, upright stems. Plants grow to around 75–90 cm tall and flower continuously from midsummer until the first frosts with regular deadheading. In the garden, Dahlia ‘Double Jill’ is especially valuable for blending colour schemes. It softens stronger planting combinations while sitting comfortably within paler palettes of pink, peach, cream, and soft red tones. - Set the bulbs or bare root in place, pointed side or sprout side upward.
- Cover the bulbs by replacing the soil and water thoroughly.
