Description

Dahlia ‘Caproz Josephine’ is a beautifully textured fimbriata dahlia, valued for its finely split petals and soft, feathered appearance. Instead of a solid, dense bloom, the flower has a light, airy structure where each petal is delicately fringed at the tip, creating constant movement and softness in the garden.

The colouring is equally refined. Creamy white and soft butter tones form the base, gently edged and lightly streaked with blush pink. The pink varies from bloom to bloom, sometimes more defined, sometimes just a whisper along the petal edges, giving each flower a unique, natural variation.

Blooms typically measure 13–18 cm across and are carried on strong, upright stems. Plants grow to around 80–100 cm tall and flower steadily from midsummer through to the first frosts with regular deadheading.

In the garden, Dahlia ‘Caproz Josephine’ is especially effective for softening stronger planting schemes. Its airy texture contrasts beautifully with fuller, round-flowered dahlias, while its gentle colouring blends easily with creams, blush pinks, and pale apricots.

As a cut flower, it adds fine detail and lightness to arrangements, bringing a more relaxed, natural feel alongside roses, ranunculus, and other summer blooms.

For best performance, plant tubers in spring once the risk of frost has passed, in a sunny, well-drained position, and stake early in exposed sites.

An elegant, finely detailed dahlia that brings softness, texture, and subtle colour variation to both borders and bouquets.
