Description
Dahlia Alyshia brings a softer, more delicate look to the late summer garden with its beautifully open anemone-flowered blooms. Unlike traditional fully double dahlias, this variety features a single row of elegant outer petals surrounding a richly textured central cushion, creating a lighter and more natural appearance in borders and floral arrangements.
The flowers blend soft shell pink tones with touches of warm coral, while the raised centre appears slightly deeper in colour, adding depth and contrast to every bloom. This subtle colour combination makes ‘Alyshia’ especially easy to combine with cottage garden planting, ornamental grasses, and pastel late-season perennials.
Flowering continuously from mid-summer until the first frosts, this variety produces masses of blooms on strong upright stems that are excellent for cutting. The open flower form also brings movement and softness to planting schemes, offering a lovely contrast beside larger decorative dahlias.
Growing to approximately 90–100 cm tall, Dahlia ‘Alyshia’ performs best in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Regular deadheading encourages even more flowers throughout the season.

Planting information

- Depth is measurement of space between the soil line and top of bulb or bare root.
- Set the bulbs or bare root in place, pointed side or sprout side upward.
- Cover the bulbs by replacing the soil and water thoroughly.
